Sands dripping down from our feet

Right beneath the pier's edge where we were first to meet

And I caught you once but you let me down twice

And there's a place we would all go to sing

We'd gather round the old town church to hear those bells ring

I'll never forget those days

Crows flying out with old wings

Bated breath with lungs that barely have the strength to sing

But the pages stick and crumble where your fingers used to be
