Soilhouettes of buildings

Form the city skyline far away

Sun is setting just behind them

The blue in the sky fades to grey

As it grows darker and darker

The lampposts outside flicker brighter

I see a star out in the distance

Twinkling in the night but somehow wishing

If I could just reach back into the past

I would change everything

'Cause we could have been

Something more than what we are right now

If I could just press rewind or maybe try

To ask you out or possibly shout that

I'm into you

Or make a video on Youtube

Would it have changed anything

More than friends could we have been

So I look up at the start lit sky

And think of you

Wondering what could have been and realize

I realized

If it were up to me I would end this mystery

I would chase down all these memories

That led to the night when it started to ignite
