I like going up

But I hate coming down

I like pretty girls

But they don't want me around

Sometimes I wanna lay down and die

Sometimes I cry

I like it when the sun goes up

And settles in the sky

Lord when that sun goes down

And I'm alone in this one horse town

I think of the things in my life

My mama and daddy

Growing up in church and oh how it hurts

I pray that you help me up

I like growing up

It hurts my bones

I like being free

But I hate when I'm alone

I like it when there's money in the bank

But there's never any there

I like it when there's gas in my truck

So I can get away from here

I guess some all my life

I've never been the sharpest knife

But I once had that look in my eyes

I new one was alive

Or 2 feet on the ground

And I got knocked down

Now I'm tired and I wanna stand up

I like drinking beer

But it don't like me

I like summertime

But I can't stand the heat

I can't like my job

But I sure don't like the pay

I want to be happy with life

I'm gonna get there some day

I guess all my life
