Went to the cupboard

To get her poor doggie a bone

When she got there

The cupboard was bare

So the poor little doggie had none

He sat on the mat

With his head on the mat

So hungry he wanted to cry

And looked her straight in the eye

Doggone said the little dog

That ain't the way to do
