From the time we are born

We're compelled and informed that dreams are the fiction of sleep

Hard to know if it's true

If your mind plays a trick or if there's some wisdom to keep

And I know in our hearts there are truths we believe

The unlikeliest things will someday come to pass

And our hopes will materialise

The possible dream merely shadows of things that will be

More than words on a page is the promise he made

To return in a kingdom of light

When glorified saints will shine like the stars

And justice will vanquish the night

Not a fairytale dream the new heaven and earth

Nor a fable the river of life

But the future of all who are children of faith

In a land everlastingly bright
