LORIS

LORIS are a brand new female fronted electropop trio from Northern Ireland. LORIS launched as a new band with their debut single 'I've Been Quiet' in December 2013. The single was extremely well supported from the outset having been picked up by BBC's ATL only 24 hours after it's release. As a result of the local BBC support it was further picked up by National BBC Radio 1 receiving airplay on Jen and Ally's BBC Introducing show. In January 2014, LORIS were featured by ‘Best of British Unsigned Bands’, which broadcasts across 16 European countries via 90 radio stations. In July 2014 LORIS released their second single 'Do It Right' and were included in the Daily Mirror's article for 'The class of 2014'. Later that month they got a BBC Radio Ulster feature on 'The Making Of' on the Across The Line Show and were featured as the 'track of the day'. Just like their first single 'I've Been Quiet', 'Do It Right' received airplay on BBC Radio Ulster and National BBC Radio 1. In October 2014 LORIS were invited to play a live session in front of a live studio audience for BBC Radio at the BBC Blackstaff House in Belfast. In 14th November LORIS launched their E.P to a sell out crowd in Belfast. As a result of a successful E.P launch LORIS were asked to support Ballet School (GER) for two dates of their U.K and Ireland tour in Dublin and Belfast. LORIS' third single 'Yeah' recieved airplay on Huw Stephens show on BBC Radio 1 and the music video got featured by MSN and MUZU TV. On December 1st the BBC broadcast 25minutes of LORIS' live set from the BBC Blackstaff session. LORIS' third single 'Yeah' was chosen as the BBC Introducing 'Track Of The Week' for the week commencing 16th February 2015. As a result of this LORIS were playlisted on BBC RADIO 1 and featured on Fearne Cotton, Greg James, Scott Mills, Alice Levine, Dev and Gemma Cairney's shows. RIGSY (BBC DJ, Music Journalist) "As clever as they are poppy, Loris are already one of the glitziest, most glamorous bands Northern Ireland has ever produced. I look forward to watching them soar." BBC RADIO 1 DJ PHILLY TAGGART "LORIS have stirred the buzz in their Native Northern Ireland and in 2015 will be well on their way to throwing that big hype net out to the rest of the world."
