In some ways, he's like a German equivalent of Weird Al Yankovic.Born Horst K?hler on February 15, 1963, in Trier, Horn began his music career as a schlagersanger at age 29, when he got a job as an entertainer in Cologne at the Luxor performance venue. His debut album, Ruckkehr Nach Mendocino (1992), was recorded live there.He is mainly famous for his eccentric stage persona, which includes outrageous clothes and very extroverted antics. At the Eurovision Song Contest 1998, he came in seventh with the title "Guildo hat euch lieb!" He has served alongside Olympic trampolining champion Anna Dogonadze and referee Markus Merk as ambassador for his native state of Rhineland-Palatinate for the 2006 FIFA World Cup.
