Ian Escobar

Ian Escobar is a Colombian Afro-Latin artist from Cartagena de Indias building a sound he calls "Tropical Trip" — vintage textures, Caribbean warmth, and melodic storytelling rooted in Afrobeat Latino. His catalog has surpassed 3.5 million lifetime Apple Music plays and earned support across 13+ editorial playlists in 2026, including ¡Dale Play!. "Una Mentirita" is a forbidden-romance narrative built around a small lie and a plea to leave a dead relationship behind for something real, co-written with Bobby Sierra, a Grammy-nominated songwriter. Supported by a coordinated TikTok content push and Instagram influencer seeding timed to the release window.
