While embarking on her first Asia tour, Andr simultaneously releases her new mini album, SKIN. Across six tracks, the record wanders through different layers of skin, following its textures as a path of exploration. As the outermost surface visible to the eye, skin can be both the most superficial appearance and the most truthful disguise, one that reflects the self in unexpected ways.
Continuing Andr’s bold and experimental approach to music and sound, SKIN pushes further into sonic exploration while lyrically revolving around pairs of ideas that depend on yet resist one another: seeing and being seen, documentation and eternity, love and limitation.
The album artwork captures the world Andr presents through her music. Beneath the uncanny and deliberately crude skin masks lies an honest exploration of the self, as well as an equally honest attempt to examine the world around it.
