人生彷如一條漫長而崎嶇曲折的路，途上險阻重重，危機四伏，我們隨時被隱藏着的小石頭絆倒，跌碰之中我們感受傷痛，接受各種挑戰。一次次的挫敗等於一次次歷練。讓每顆途上絆倒你的石頭作為將來你興建城堡的基石。
我們將這個傷痛日記轉化成時刻勉勵自己的刃記，也是個印記。
不讓青春枉過，用血、汗、淚水讚頌生命。
這張唱片叫做「刃記」，是我們樂隊刃記的第三張專輯，以刃記為名，因為我們想藉着這張唱片這本書，分享我們當下的感受。
Life is like a long and rugged road, where you would find it joyful sometimes and dangerous sometimes.
Very often, we would fall over a stone and stress out. Then what we can do is to pull ourselves together and give it another try. Sometimes, obstacles are put in our way to test our resolve. We have to learn how to remove them away with strength and determination. Sooner or later, we will get by and see the light. We never know whether today is your last day on earth nor how many twists and turns are still to come, so just don’t give up and save nothing for the swimming back.
‘Well, it’s okay to trip on a stone and get hurt as long as we know when and how to stand up. Remember the lesson we learn each time. Treat our obstacles like stepping-stones.
One day, those stepping-stones will become the bridge us to our dreams.’
The only way to make ourselves stronger is to endure great pains, turn our wounds into strength, and overcome any forms of hardships no matter what. The heavy weight of responsibility will discipline us, making us more mature and trustworthy. By then, our willpower will vanquish everything.
Failure will never overtake us and it is just like a knife wound that leaves us a mark each time, reminding us of what we have been gone through. Our band chose to live with those marks for a lifetime and hence our name; Blademark. The more marks we have, the richer our life experience could be. The wounds that once made us bleed internally could alert us to be true to ourselves and in some ways shape our own philosophy of life.
Embrace the sadness, pain and sorrow is what I have learned so far in my journey of life, and that is my motto. I will cultivate a life of praise in the everyday ups and downs with my blood, sweat, and tears.
This is our third album and we name it ‘Blademark’, in the hope that when you listen to our music, you can hear our stories and feel how we felt at those moments.
