About Live At The ABC Kingston, 1962
This will send shivers of nostalgia through the fifty-somethings who remember when Cliff and the Shadows were THE British act. The sound here is rough and energetic but catches the atmosphere of those small-venue concerts. The spoken remarks by the lads are engaging but the screaming fans can get a little annoying. The instrumental tracks by the Shadows are more enjoyable than Cliff's vocals. The special packaging, though interesting, is difficult to store. This album really is for those who remember those early days in the sixties . . .
