The xx于2017年1月13日通过贝阁-Young Turks发布新专辑《I See You》，新单曲“On Hold”已经发布！The xx此前两张专辑《xx》及《Coexist》销售超过300万张。

《I See You》包含10首歌，将是The xx在音乐及制作过程上的里程碑。与《xx》及《Coexist》相对封闭的录音过程不同，Romy Madley Croft、Oliver Sim与Jamie Smith三位成员在2014年3月至2016年8月之间辗转于纽约、德州马尔法、雷克雅未克、洛杉矶和伦敦之间完成，态度更外放、心态更开放、冒险也更多。《I See You》由Jamie Smith与Rodaidh McDonald制作，将会是The xx最大单、最清晰、最有野心的一次尝试。
