93 FollowersMarianas Trench的前身是Ramsay Fiction，由现任主唱Josh Ramsay偕同高中好友Matt Webb、当地音乐人Morgan Hempsted 以及 Steve Marsh组成。当Ramsay Fiction解散后Josh Ramsay跟Matt Webb跟着广告找到了Ian Casselman，之后Ian Casselman又给他们拉来Mike Ayley作为贝司手——这两个家伙之前曾在同一支乐队合作过。他们选择Marianas Trench作为乐队名字因为他们找不到其他还没被用到的名字，但是真实原因永远是个谜。
