Known as the vocalist of DADARAY's REIS and a member of the acclaimed creative unit (K)NoW_NAME-renowned for their work on the hit anime SPY×FAMILY-nikiie returns with her highly anticipated digital single "REPUTATION"!

Written, composed, and arranged entirely by herself, the track bursts with colorful energy-like a toy box flipped upside down-delivering the most pop-forward and edgy sound in nikiie's discography to date.
It's an anthem for grown-ups, capturing the bittersweet realization of never quite becoming "someone," while still holding on to a flicker of dreams.

REPUTATION

Singer-songwriter nikiie's full album "Bisui" has been released! This is her first full album in about 9 years since "Pianism" in 2014, and it features works from the past few years, where she chose to shape them amidst the daily struggles resembling a "doze" while the world undergoes transformation. The album is adorned with tracks such as "Dophin," "Someone," and "Step into you," which were digitally released in 2021 with the collaboration of track maker Kohei Ishii, as well as "Amoeba," produced with Takayuki Noamia.k.a.TiaRungray and set to be released in 2023. Italian artist JAYTWOL joins in with drum programming for the track "WABISABI." The new songs "Morse" and "Kimi ga inai hibi ni modoru dake" are included as completed versions from the art piece project [Voicememo CD], which started during the COVID-19 pandemic. "Yumeutsutsu" features singer-songwriter Ayaka Ide on backing vocals. The album's jacket photo is taken by Kenji Agata, and the logo design is by Uesatsu.

Bisui

Singer-songwriter nikiie releases her latest work "WABISABI"! Born and raised as a Japanese, the sense of ''wabi-sabi'' has been ingrained in me without my even being aware of it. I had always unconsciously thought that it was something that all Japanese could feel and be proud of. But... I no longer understand it. Trends, the life of things, and visions are getting shorter and shorter. I sometimes play things back at double speed. I think we're trying to be efficient, but before we know it, we're stuck in time all the time. But even if I were the only one living in the abundance of time, I would be alone.
I used to think without hesitation that "old values should be renewed," but I wonder if some of the most important things are actually being secretly discarded among them. I wrote a song that affirmed looking back for the first time.
Drum programming is by JAYTWOL, an artist from Milan, Italy, who met during the Corona disaster.
 The lyrics were written and arranged by nikiie, who, in keeping with the theme of the song, also tried her hand at playing the sanshin (Okinawan three-stringed instrument). Mixing and mastering was done by Takayuki Noami a.k.a. Tia Rungray (Non-REM Studio), and the jacket photo was taken by Kenji Agata.

WABISABI

nikiie's latest release "Amoeba" announced!
"Complexities of intertwined society, interactions with people, pressures of life. Wanting to live simply and straightforwardly without dwelling too deeply in worries." One day, this song was born from playful piano riffs. Incorporating the playful spirit that adults often forget, nikiie's unique worldview is captured in the lyrics and vocal harmonies, arranged to the strict beat of a metronome.
Expressed with punk and rock-inspired simplicity in the lyrics, combined with somewhat unfamiliar piano riffs and choruses.
The origin of "Amoeba" is said to be derived from the Greek word meaning "change". Wanting to live resiliently while embracing change.

Amoeba

女性シンガー・ソングライター、NIKIIEの約1年3カ月ぶり(2014年時)となるオリジナル・アルバム。“ピアノと歌”をテーマに、自己を見つめなおして原点回帰を図った作品。配信限定曲「どこまでも」や新規書き下ろし楽曲に加え、「雨人」「猫」「紙飛行機」他ライヴなどで耳馴染みのある楽曲も収録。アレンジをシンプルに力強くすることで、より彼女の言霊と唄声が強く響く1枚。
